Joomla Day will begin with keynote speaker Ryan Ozimek, president of Open Source Matters. From here, the group will break into four different tracks. The first track option, the Essentials Track, will take you through developing a Joomla site focusing on best practices. Those who choose to take the Integrator’s track will dive into more advanced features in Joomla including administration tools and Cpanel. For those looking to promote their site, JDay Midwest will provide an Internet Marketing track introducing tactics like social media and website testing. Alternatively, web programmers will find themselves at home at our developer track.
In the days leading up to the event, Savvy Panda owner Gabe Wahhab will host Joomla training for those who want an introduction or a refresher before the conference. Beginner classes will be held on November 10th and intermediate classes on November 11th. Visit http://www.joomladaymidwest.org/joomla-training to sign up. After the conference, join Savvy Panda and the Joomla community in Downtown Milwaukee for a night of networking and unwinding.
