Social Media Scheduling
If you are writing a blog, I'm sure you are posting them out on your social media networks once completed, however, there's a good chance that you are not taking advantage of social media scheduling.
When you make a post on certain social networks such as Twitter, typically only 5-8% of your audience is logged on to view your post. So Tools like TweetDeck and Hootsuite can really help you maximize the exposure your blog receives by allowing you to schedule in multiple posts per day or week. Typically you will want to schedule these to post during high login times as we will talk about in a second.
Social Content Sharing Sites
There are many different social content sharing sites such as stumbleupon.com, redit.com, digg.com, inbound.org, etc. just to name a few. These sites are great to submit your blog content on in order to gain additional attention and sharing from others interested in your niche.
Find Optimal Times to Post
As we talked about earlier, many times when you promote a blog on a social network by making a post, only a small percentage of your audience will see it. This is why it's critical to examine when the ideal times of the day and days of the week are to post on that particular social media site.
Followerwonk is a great example of how to find this out on Twitter. You can find out what times of the day your twitter followers are logged in. Then you can use these times to help schedule out posts to tweet out your blog content.

Involve Influencers
You can also use Followerwonk or other tools to find out the top influencers in your industry. Get in contact with them and see if they would be willing to help lend their expertise on a particular blog. You can use them in your blogs for quotes, opinions, references, etc.
Then, tag them and help promote the blog as a collaborative effort. Many times this will cause that influencer to also promote the blog to their audience which can really help drive traffic to that blog.
Craft Engaging Titles and Graphics
With so much content being created each day and the average user being bombarded by emails, twitter, facebook, phone calls, advertisements, etc. it's extremely important that you take your time to create the best title and graphic that you can.
These are the first two things readers take a look at and the better the title and graphic, the higher chance they will click on your blog to read it and also share on social networks.
Weekly or Monthly Link Round-ups
You can re-purpose your blogs within a newsletter or a separate blog that highlights some of your best and most popular blog posts. Many times users may not have seen the blog the first time around and re-purposing them into a "Top Blogs of the Month" section in your monthly newsletter is a great way to gain additional attention and readership.
These are just a few tips that can really help double or even triple the number of views a blog gets. You've spent all this time creating a great blog, why not try and maximize its reach and value to your business. Having a successful blog that not only drives traffic to your website but also establishes your credibility in the industry is key to a successful Inbound Marketing strategy.
