Inbound Marketing's goal is to attract and convert people who are actively looking for information on a particular industry, service or product. This is done by providing great quality, educational content on that particular subject matter. With Inbound Marketing, the audience is pre-qualified, educated and excited to learn about the industry. In contrast, traditional marketing pushes a company's message in people's faces who may not be interested and many times when people are not open to hearing marketing messages.
The Inbound Marketing strategy was refined and pioneered by a software company called Hubspot who produces a software platform in which you can perform inbound marketing tasks on. Although simply a software platform, Hubspot has a certification program in which marketing agencies can be trained on how to successfully execute an Inbound Marketing strategy.
In an effort to help bolster the Inbound Marketing community of South-Eastern Wisconsin, Savvy Panda (a Hubspot certified inbound agency) has been elected to organize and run the official Milwaukee Inbound Marketing Hubspot User Group. This group will be designed to educate, network and grow both businesses running an Inbound Marketing strategy and other inbound marketing agencies.
Although still in the organizational stage, some information on the group has been announced. The group's first meeting will be hosted in September and will serve as a meet and greet and a recap of the workshops and talks of the Inbound 2012 Conference happening at the Hubspot headquarters in Boston in August.
All the information on the group will be posted on their website once it launches in the next month (inboundmilwaukee.com). If you are interested in learning more or attending the meetings, please keep your eye on the website for it's launch.
